ZyXEL's P-792H G.SHDSL 4-port Security Gateway is a cost-effective DSL solution designed for medium-sized businesses to access the Internet or remote office networks. It integrates a high-speed DSL port, 4-port 10/100Mbps auto MDI/MDIX Ethernet switch and Dial-Backup port to ensure availability of the Internet. Adopting G.SHDSL technologies, the P-792H provides an ideal high-speed alternative to leased-line services by providing symmetric LAN-to-LAN and Internet access transmissions at selectable speeds of up to 2.3Mbps. It can also be configured as either server or client mode to provide point-to-point connectivity between two sites.

The P-792H is also a security gateway, which protects networks by providing robust Firewall security features and standard IPSec Virtual Private Network tunneling. Additional features such as auto fail-over/fall-back Dial Backup, Traffic Redirect, and Media Bandwidth Management will maximize performance while minimizing operation and maintenance cost.

• High-speed Internet Access
  The scalable G.SHDSL technology supports symmetrical multi-rate data transmission speeds of 72Kbps to 2.3Mbps. It is a cost-effective solution for migration from T1/E1 service. G.SHDSL technology is ideal for applications such as web hosting, video conferencing and the two-way data traffic needs common to businesses.
• Robust Firewall Security
  The ICSA certified ZyNOS operating system ensures state-of-the-art Firewall performance and robust security from the P-792H. Based on Stateful Packet Inspection and Denial of Service (DoS), it provides the first line of defense against hackers, network intruders, and other hazardous threats.
• VPN (Virtual Private Network) Support
  The P-792H supports standard IPSec VPN, suitable for site-to-site and remote access deployment. Data encryption over the Internet ensures secure data transmission between two sites and can be used to replace a private leased line or frame relay network; global interconnectivity can be achieved at a minimal expense.
• Auto Fail-over and Fail-back WAN Backup Solution
  The P-792H supports fail-over and fail-back WAN Backup Solution by forwarding traffic to either a backup ISDN or analog modem in the event of DSL connection failure. When the DSL connection is re-established, traffic returns. The P-792H also performs backup functions by redirecting traffic to a specific gateway to ensure availability of the Internet. The WAN Backup Solution saves device maintenance cost and minimizes daily operation loss.
• Effective Media Bandwidth Management(MBM)*
  The P-792H enables network administrators to allocate network resources while guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS). The MBM (Media Bandwidth Management) function prioritizes media services, increasing productivity and efficiency in daily operation by tailoring a system to specific demands such as VoIP, video streaming, videoconferencing and MP3 applications.

High speed symmetric data transmission
The P-793H is a high performance G.SHDSL Gateway providing Internet access and LAN-to-LAN application over existing copper line for small/medium office. The P-793H makes full use of the advanced G.SHDSL.bis technology to offer data transmission rates of up to 5.69Mbps in 2-wire mode. In 4-wire mode, you can get up to twice the transmission speed at 11.38Mbps.

Robust Firewall Security and IPSec VPN Support
The ICSA-certified ZyNOS ensures state-of-the-art firewall performance and robust security from the P-793H. Based on Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) and DDoS features, it provides the first line of defense against hackers, network intruders, and other malicious threats.

Furthermore, its VPN feature supports data encryption over the Internet to ensure secure data transmission between two sites. VPNs can be used to replace a private leased line, allowing global interconnectivity with minimal expense.

Media Bandwidth Management (MBM) QoS

Auto Fail-over and Fall-back WAN Backup Solution
The P-793H features a Fail-over and Fail-back WAN Backup Solution for complete network reliability. When the DSL connection fails, traffic is forwarded to either the backup ISDN or analog modem to maintain smooth data transmission. When the DSL connection is re-established, network traffic through the P-793H will resume again. The P-793H can also redirect traffic to a specific gateway to ensure availability of Internet connection. The WAN Backup Solution saves device maintenance cost and reduces business loss from unexpected network disruptions.
