Kodak Capture Software is an easy-to use production scanning application that enables all the versatility, productivity and reliability that’s built into feature-rich Kodak Scanners.
Kodak Capture Software can be tailored to meet the needs of virtually any scanning workload, from front-end capture applications to imaging, forms processing and workfl ow applications. It lets you scan, index, batch and output simplex and duplex documents as colour,bitonal and greyscale* images to many popular applications in a multitude of formats, including TIFF, JPEG and PDF. And it can also generate e-mails that contain scanned documents (PDF or TIFF attachments), splitting them into multiple e-mails automatically if document size exceeds e-mail system limits.
A choice of indexing options allows you to configure indexing according to the requirements of your application.You can capture index data from bar codes OCR zones, or MICR codes while scanning, or key enter data from images or original documents. Automatic data capture from bar codes, OCR zones, or MICR codes, even from color images, drastically reduces the need to perform key entry from scanned images or originals. When you need key entry, zoom zones make it easy. Just click in an index field and zoom in on the portion of the image (front or rear) you want to display. Then Capture Software stores the image position and zoom ratio for the active index field. You can even use Drag n’ Drop OCR instead of actually keying in the data. Just highlight the index data on the image by holding and dragging the left mouse button. When you let go, the document has been indexed.
